Steve Moore Speaks on “Texas Sales and Use Tax Issues” to State Bar Aviation Section

His presentation to the Aviation Section, titled “Texas Sales and Use Tax Issues,” provided an in-depth analysis of Senate Bill 1396, which was passed by the 84th Texas Legislature and signed by Governor Greg Abbott on June 16, 2015, including matters related to certificated carriers, sale for resale, presumption of use, fractional ownership, and more.

Steve is a state tax lawyer whose practice includes planning and controversy work emphasizing sales tax, Texas franchise (aka “margin”) tax, and insurance premium tax. Steve is dedicated, from a value-driven perspective, to helping his clients fully comply with and control their tax exposure.
