‘D Magazine’ Selects Susan Mead to Participate as a D Academy Panelist

Jackson Walker partner Susan Mead has been selected to participate as a panelist in D Magazine‘s D Academy on Saturday, February 14, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CityPlace in Dallas.

The D Academy program will discuss how to strengthen the city’s core and explore opportunities for jobs and urban development. Ms. Mead will be speaking on a panel titled “How to Get It Done” from 9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Other panelists are expected to include Texas State Rep. Rafael Anchia, Texas Transportation Commissioner Victor Vandergriff, departing Texas State Senator John Carona, and Dallas Chief Planning Officer Theresa O’Donnell.

Ms. Mead focuses her practice on the representation of clients in the areas of zoning, planning and entitlements law, including implementation of tax increment financing districts and other economic development incentives. Her practice includes representation before city councils, city planning commissions, board of adjustment, urban renewal boards, review boards and landmark committees throughout the nation. Ms. Mead is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects. She has been active in neighborhood preservation, redevelopment of cities, and art organizations for most of her career. She received her B.A. from Trinity College and her J.D. from Southern Methodist University.
