Scott Rose Named to Leadership Positions at Jackson Walker

Scott succeeds Patrick Tobin, who stepped down after serving as the office managing partner since 1995 and as a member of the firm’s management committee since 1999. Patrick will continue his active and substantial practice as a senior member of the firm’s corporate group.

For over 30 years, Scott has served as attorney and counselor to national lending, finance and investment institutions on all aspects of commercial business transactions. His experience includes numerous complex corporate, partnership, and individual bankruptcy reorganization proceedings, as well as out-of-court restructurings involving multiple secured creditors and competing claimants.

Scott was named San Antonio’s Bankruptcy – Litigation 2015 “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America under Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law (2010-2015) and under Litigation – Bankruptcy (2012-2015). He was recognized by Best Lawyers as the 2013 Bankruptcy/Creditors Rights “Lawyer of the Year” in San Antonio, and was named an “Outstanding Lawyer” by the San Antonio Business Journal in 2013. Scott was also named a “Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters (2012-2014), and has been named a San Antonio “Best Lawyer” by S.A. Scene for several years.

Scott received his B.A., with highest honors, from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and his J.D., with honors, from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He is an active member of Christ Episcopal Church and serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Chamber Choir, a resident affiliate company of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Scott and his wife, Jennifer, have three children, Alix, Kara and Jack.
