Austin Young Lawyers Association Recognizes Chris Mugica With Mentor Award

Jackson Walker is pleased to congratulate Chris Mugica for receiving the 2018 Mentor Award by the Austin Young Lawyers Association for his demonstrated commitment to successfully mentoring young lawyers in the Austin legal community.

In addition to his role as a partner at Jackson Walker, Chris makes time to help guide young lawyers on serving their clients, networking, and giving back to the community. Chris also holds leadership positions with the Boy Scouts of America Capitol Area Council, the State Bar of Texas Texas Minority Counsel Program, the Do the Write Thing Texas Challenge, and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.

AYLA is a professional association that promotes justice through community service. Open to Austin attorneys under the age of 40 or licensed for three years or less, AYLA helps young attorneys socialize, network with judges, and access CLE programs. In addition, AYLA members develop, organize, and implement a variety of service programs, including Women’s Resource Fair, Holiday Baskets, Reentry Project, Reindeer Games, and Day of Service.

Meet Chris

Christopher R. Mugica has a broad commercial litigation practice that includes fiduciary litigation, first-party insurance defense, and consumer and employment litigation. Chris has handled a wide variety of complex commercial matters for clients, including class action, fraud, and fiduciary litigation. He also has sophisticated experience in real estate litigation representing developers, lenders, and property owners associations.
