Jackson Walker Announces 2018 LCLD Pathfinder Program Participants

February 15, 2018 | Attorney News

Jackson Walker recently chose Dallas associate Judy Bennett Garner and Houston associate Lindsey Moorhead to participate in the 2018 Pathfinder Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (the LCLD).

Formed in 2009, the LCLD is an organization of more than 275 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners dedicated to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The LCLD’s action programs, which span the journey from law school to partnership, are designed to attract, inspire, and nurture talent in society and within its organizations, thereby helping a new and more diverse generation of attorneys rise to positions of leadership.

Now in its third year, the Pathfinder Program is a professional development series that provides early-career diverse attorneys with foundational leadership skills, career development strategies, and tips on building professional networks and relationships.

“Because LCLD member organizations are limited to no more than two Pathfinders every year, the nomination process is very selective,” said Bruce Ruzinsky, Jackson Walker’s Diversity Committee Chairman. “We nominate candidates who have a demonstrated track record of success and show high potential to become firm-wide and community leaders. Judy and Lindsey are outstanding examples of this, and we are proud that they will represent us in the 2018 Pathfinder Program.”

For eight months, Judy and Lindsey will learn from leaders in the legal profession by participating in two in-person meetings, E-Learning Modules, Compass Conversations, and Program Facilitator interactions. They will attend their first Pathfinder Program meeting on April 5-7.
