Monica Pace Messick has been voted President-Elect of the Women’s Energy Network, North Texas Chapter (WEN-NTX). The Women’s Energy Network (WEN) is an international organization of predominantly female members who work across the energy value chain. WEN’s mission is to develop programs to provide networking opportunities and foster career and leadership development of those who work in the energy industries.

“WEN has been instrumental in my development as an energy lending attorney. It has provided me with invaluable educational, charitable, and relationship-building opportunities that have been vital to my professional success. I am honored and eager for the opportunity to continue serving WEN-NTX in this prestigious role and to help other women progress in their careers.”

The North Texas Chapter of WEN began in 2009 and encompasses the DFW area. The chapter is comprised of over 275 members including engineers, land managers, attorneys, geologists, and other professionals serving the energy sector in North Texas. WEN-NTX is dedicated to empowering women in the energy industry by providing members with valuable networking, mentoring, and career development opportunities. Throughout the year, the chapter hosts monthly educational luncheons and networking events in both Dallas and Fort Worth with presentations from some of the industry’s most experienced leaders and scholars. The chapter is committed to community initiatives and is particularly proud of the work it does with Girls Inc.
