Willie Hornberger and James Prappas Speak at International Tax Forum

Jackson Walker partners Willie Hornberger and James Prappas will speak at the International Tax Forum of Houston on Thursday, March 6, 2014. Willie and James will deliver a talk titled “U.S. Immigration and Tax—Opportunities and Pitfalls.”

The International Tax Forum of Houston offers monthly meetings where members can exchange ideas and information. Discussion during presentations is encouraged.

Willie Hornberger practices in the Tax and International sections of Jackson Walker. His tax practice emphasizes transactional and international tax matters and tax controversy issues. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Willie received both his B.B.A. degree, with high honors, and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Texas, and he received his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. He is fluent in Spanish.

Jame Prappas has over 25 years’ experience representing Fortune 500, middle market and emerging companies in U.S. immigration matters and transactions. He has extensive experience in nonimmigrant visas including the international transfer of key personnel and treaty trader/treaty investors, employment based immigrant visas, family immigration, I-9 matters, naturalization and derivative citizenship. Prior to joining Jackson Walker, James’ career included over 10 years in private practice where he represented domestic and international businesses concerning business, corporate and immigration law. James received his A.B., with honors, from Davidson College and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
