Jackson Walker partner Larry Waks was recently named Chair of Litigation Division and member of the governing committee of the American Bar Association's Forum on Entertainment and Sports Industries.

As the newly appointed chair of the litigation division and a member of the organization's governing committee, Mr. Waks will oversee the litigation division and help create and support initiatives to enhance the Forum's mission: to educate lawyers in the aspects of entertainment and sports law, to provide a platform for the discussion of issues affecting various litigation and transactional fields, and to foster excellence in the practice of law in these fields. Mr. Waks represents a broad range of domestic and international clients in the entertainment, media, publishing, advertising, communication, high tech, biotech, and energy industries. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in both the Entertainment and Media law categories and has been named a "Super Lawyer" from 2003-2010 by Thomson Reuters. Mr. Waks previously served as vice chair of the Litigation Division of the ABA Forum on Entertainment and Sports Industries. He is a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and also serves on the Advisory Council of the Paramount and State Theatres in Austin.
