AUSTIN - Jackson Walker welcomes new senior counsel Susan Dillon Ayers to the firm's Austin office.

Ms. Ayers has ten years' experience in civil litigation and appeals in state and federal courts in cases involving land use issues, personal injury, wrongful death, toxic tort, free speech, and professional malpractice. Ms. Ayers' clients have included municipalities, chemical manufacturers, railroads, telecommunications companies, casinos, oil and gas producers, and accounting firms. Ms. Ayers was named a 2007 "Rising Star" by Thomson Reuters.

Ms. Ayers, a former English teacher, currently serves on the Development Council of ACE - A Community for Education, which promotes early childhood literacy and kindergarten preparedness. She earned her B.A. degree, with honors, in English from Michigan State University and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center.
