FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Summer Clerks Arrive at Jackson WalkerThis year's group of 18 summer interns has arrived at Jackson Walker's Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio offices. The interns were greeted with welcome receptions in the various cities.
These first- and second-year law school students represent some of the best and brightest future attorneys in the country, hailing from the law schools of Harvard, Yale, Northwestern, Duke and, closer to home, from SMU, UT, Baylor, and more. Included in the group are students who have previously clerked with JW, former legal interns for a Texas Supreme Court Justice, a U.S. Senator, and the Travis County District Attorney, and students with bachelor's degrees in subjects ranging from Civil Engineering to Japanese to Computer Science. This year's group includes speakers of Spanish, Arabic, Italian, French, Hindi, and Portuguese, as well as a one-time project assistant for the television show Trading Spaces, a former small business owner, a former financial analyst, and a former assistant city manager. The group's interests include travel, sports, live music, cooking, yoga, and scuba diving. Many of the students have also been involved with notable charity and community outreach programs.
