Biography

Robert W. Harlow concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of banking and finance, commercial real estate, and corporate and general business. In the banking and finance area, Mr. Harlow has documented and closed numerous construction loans, term loans, loan modifications, and transactions involving wrap notes, credit tenant leases, and mortgage defeasances.

As an expert in foreclosures and workouts, he has been involved in property foreclosures, loan workouts, and forbearance agreements for over 14 years. He has performed hundreds of foreclosures, workouts, and forbearances involving all types of personal and real property including single family residential properties and developments, industrial projects, multifamily projects, retail properties, mixed-use projects and commercial office properties.

In commercial real estate, Mr. Harlow devotes much time to the negotiation and drafting of commercial leases, easements, parking agreements, development agreements and real estate purchase and sale agreements as well as advising and assisting clients on real estate development projects.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Harlow worked as a certified public accountant with a Big 4 accounting firm.

Mr. Harlow is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals and the Texas Association of Bank Counsel.

Community Involvement

Mr. Harlow is active in community affairs including holding various positions with Friendswood Little League, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and other various charities.
