Jay K. Wieser
Jay K. Wieser is an experienced trial lawyer representing clients in courtrooms across Texas. Mr. Wieser has extensive experience representing energy, banking, and real estate clients in commercial and tort litigation, both as plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Wieser's practice frequently involves representing closely held companies and their owners in lawsuits involving partnership disputes, fiduciary duties, and fraud. Mr. Wieser also has significant experience with both the upstream and midstream segments of the oil and gas industry, having represented E&P companies, oil field services companies, gathering companies, and land owners.
Mr. Wieser's success as a trial lawyer is built on sound judgment, common sense, and his commitment to finding solutions that achieve his clients' goals. In fulfilling this commitment, he is always accessible to clients and focuses on maximizing results, efficiency, and value.
Mr. Wieser supports clients outside the courtroom by serving in outside general counsel roles. He provides turnkey general counsel services to these clients so that they can focus their time and attention on running their businesses. Mr. Wieser's outside general counsel practice harnesses the breadth of Jackson Walker's wide-ranging practice areas through a single project manager and point of contact, meeting the needs of clients whose activities demand the special skills of several lawyers but whose organizational model does not include a large legal department. Mr. Wieser's outside general counsel experience includes negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and developing pragmatic and cost-effective approaches to risk management, early dispute resolution, and employee relations.
Mr. Wieser was named a "Top Attorney" by Fort Worth, Texas magazine in the 2012-2014 issues and a 2010 "Rising Star" by Thomson Reuters.
