Biography
Sam Fowler is an associate in the Land Use practice of Jackson Walkerā€™s Dallas office. His practice focuses on zoning and land use matters. During two summers with Jackson Walker’s Land Use team, he prepared zoning change applications and land use due diligence, drafted planned development district ordinances, and researched state law changes affecting land development.
Before entering legal practice, Sam earned a Master of Urban Planning degree from Texas A&M University and gained hands-on planning experience as an intern with Texas A&M’s Texas Target Communities program, working with communities across Texas to develop and adopt comprehensive plans. During law school, Sam helped lead the SMU Real Estate Law Association as vice president and worked as a research assistant for a law professor, focusing on real estate finance law issues. He also served as a member of the SMU Law Review Association and had his comment, which addressed the contemporaneous rise in anti-squatting legislation, selected for publication in the SMU Law Review.
