Jackson Walker Achieves Mansfield 2023-2024 Certification Plus Status

October 2, 2024 | Spotlight

Jackson Walker is proud to announce our achievement of Mansfield Rule Certification Plus status. As one of over 360 law firms that successfully completed Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule 2023-2024 Certification Program, our firm has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion within our leadership ranks.

The Mansfield Rule, launched in 2017, challenges firms to ensure that at least 30% of considered candidates for leadership roles consist of underrepresented groups. Since joining the program in 2021, Jackson Walker has implemented initiatives, such as our Lawyer Resource Groups, to create a more transparent and inclusive advancement process for all.

“As the largest law firm in Texas, achieving Mansfield Rule Certification Plus status is a testament to our ongoing commitment to belonging and inclusion,” said Suzan Kedron, who chairs the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. “We believe that fostering a level playing field for everyone enhances our strength, innovation, and creativity, enabling us to better serve our clients.”

“As the largest law firm in Texas, achieving Mansfield Rule Certification Plus status is a testament to our ongoing commitment to belonging and inclusion.”

To achieve our Plus designation, we voluntarily provided data to Diversity Lab to show our progress and outcomes of our efforts to broaden talent pools and increase the visibility of our advancement processes. This transparency allows us and Diversity Lab to identify areas for improvement and celebrate our successes.

In honor of our dedication, our firm has been recognized as a 2024 Top Performer and Compass Award winner by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), has been ranked among the top 25 firms for DEI by Chambers Associate, and is 9th among law firms nationwide for overall diversity in the 2025 Vault Rankings.

Data shows that firms that remain committed and accountable to the Mansfield Certification process are making substantial progress in creating inclusive talent practices and diversifying their leadership ranks. We have experienced positive progress at our firm since we joined Mansfield, and we remain committed to taking measurable actions to ensure that our processes remain inclusive.
