Carey Hain Elected as Secretary and Treasurer of Houston Bar Association Real Estate Law Section

Jackson Walker congratulates Houston partner Carey Hain on her election as the 2022-2023 Secretary and Treasurer of the Houston Bar Association (HBA) Real Estate Law Section. Carey previously served as a Council Member of the HBA Real Estate Law Section.

Established in 1870, the Association was founded to maintain high standards in the legal profession and provide legal education for Harris County attorneys. Today, the HBA, one of the largest metropolitan bar associations in the nation, has expanded its goals to include public service and better access to legal services for all citizens in the Greater Houston area.

The Real Estate Section participates in and contributes to several community-based fundraising campaigns including Habitat for Humanity, Texas C-Bar, and Historic Records Preservation. Monetary scholarships are awarded to a student at each of Houston’s law schools.

Meet Carey

Carey L. Hain assists clients with complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development and commercial leasing. Carey represents owners of office buildings, large mixed-use projects, multi-family developments and property undergoing varying stages of development, from initial development of raw land to redevelopment of under-utilized areas or existing assets. She also regularly represents borrowers and lenders in commercial financing transactions. In recognition of her practice, Carey has been named to Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers since 2020.
