Jackson Walker is pleased to announce that partner William H. Hornberger has been elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the North Texas Commission, a leading public-private partnership advancing North Texas through advocacy, education, and collaboration.

“I am truly honored and excited to join the Executive Committee of the North Texas Commission,” said Willie. “It is a privilege to work alongside such dedicated leaders to help advance the region’s growth and success. “It is a privilege to work alongside such dedicated leaders to help advance the region’s growth and success.”

Willie has been an engaged member of the North Texas Commission board since 2022, and his election to the Commission’s Executive Committee positions him to help shape the strategic vision, policy platform, and overall responsiveness of the organization at a pivotal moment for the state’s fastest-growing metropolitan area.

His broader civic commitment is evident in longstanding professional and volunteer affiliations with organizations such as The Real Estate Council of Dallas, the Texas Society of CPAs, AVANCE-North Texas, and SelectUSA, a program of the U.S. Department of Commerce which focuses on facilitating job-creating business investment into the United States. Willie consistently lends his expertise toward initiatives that expand educational opportunities, strengthen the regional economy, and elevate standards of fiscal stewardship. His record of leadership has been recognized with the North Texas Inspirational Leadership Award from AVANCE-North Texas, the Distinguished Public Service Award from the Texas Society of CPAs, and the D CEO Financial Executive Award, honoring his sustained dedication to community service.

For more than fifty years, the North Texas Commission has convened the region’s most influential stakeholders—including businesses, municipalities, counties, universities, health systems, school districts, and chambers of commerce—to provide a unified voice for the 13-county North Texas region in Austin and Washington, D.C. Through consensus-driven advocacy, the Commission has secured transformative infrastructure projects such as DFW International Airport, forged partnerships to enhance transportation and mobility, and positioned North Texas as a global contender for major events and investment opportunities.

Today, the Commission remains focused on three core pillars: advocating for regional priorities that cross jurisdictional lines; educating and empowering current and future leaders through professional development and diversity initiatives; and convening subject-matter experts to strengthen the workforce pipeline and sustain North Texas’s robust economic growth.
