Peter Hosey Presented With Lee Cusenbary Ethical Life Award

Jackson Walker proudly congratulates Peter E. Hosey on receiving the Lee Cusenbary Ethical Life Award from the South/Central Texas Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Each year, one in-house lawyer or legal department and one private lawyer or law firm are honored with Ethical Life Awards for their commitment to ethical conduct in the practice of law. The awards are presented during intermission of ACC’s Ethics Follies program. Previous recipients include retired partner Charles L. Smith, former partner Steve Fogle, and late partner Rocky Walker.

Peter is a partner in our San Antonio office with over 40 years of experience representing clients in the energy and natural resources area. He not only advises clients with regard to all aspects of oil and gas transactions, but also on matters related to the exploration, production, transportation, and leasing of hard minerals, including coal and uranium. Peter is Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law with the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has served on the Joint Editorial Board for the Texas Title Examination Standards since 1998.

Outside of his practice, Peter volunteers his time with St. Mary’s University School of Law as an adjunct professor, Chair of the Board of Visitors, and President of the St. Mary’s Law Foundation. He also previously served on the Board of Regents of St. Mary’s University and as President of the St. Mary’s Law School Alumni Association. Peter is a sustaining Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, past Chair of the State Bar of Texas – Oil, Gas, and Energy Resources Law Section, and former President of the Natural Resources Committee of the San Antonio Bar Association.
