Jackson Walker Nationally Ranked in 28 Areas in “Best Law Firms” Guide

The firm was ranked nationally in 28 practice areas and ranked by metropolitan city in 94 practice areas. Jackson Walker’s rankings included seven national top-tier honors and 45 first-tier designations in the metropolitan rankings.

The firm’s nationwide rankings increased from the 2014-2015 edition of “Best Law Firms,” a reflection of the growing recognition of Jackson Walker’s involvement in significant transactions and litigation across the U.S. Particularly highly ranked were the firm’s practices in Commercial Litigation, First Amendment Litigation, Labor & Employment Litigation, Natural Resources Law, Oil & Gas Law, Railroad Law, and Real Estate Law, all of which received National Tier 1 recognition in the “Best Law Firms” guide.

Jackson Walker was also nationally ranked in Tier 2 for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law, Corporate Law, Employment Law – Management, Immigration Law, Labor Law – Management, and Tax Law, as well as subsets of Litigation, including Bankruptcy and Environmental.

For the 2016 “Best Law Firms” list, clients were asked to provide feedback on firm practice groups, addressing expertise, responsiveness, understanding of a business and its needs, cost-effectiveness, civility, and whether they would refer another client to the firm. The U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process.
