Jackson Walker Obtains Summary Judgment For Lender in Fraud Case

On April 4, 2016, the Court granted the motion for summary judgment filed by Jackson Walker on behalf of its client, an affiliate of a national bank. The client had foreclosed on its collateral, multi-family units, and sued the guarantor for the deficiency after the borrower filed bankruptcy. The guarantor alleged fraud in the inducement among other defenses. The Court entered a judgment in excess of $3 million in favor of our client, the full amount claimed.
