Jackson Walker served as legal counsel for two real estate transactions that were recently honored in the Houston Business Journal‘s 2014 Landmark Awards.

The annual awards recognize real estate projects that make a significant impression on the Houston landscape. Winners and finalists were featured in a special section in the April 25 edition of the Houston Business Journal.

Sweden–based Skanska’s 3009 Post Oak in the Galleria area was named the winner in the Green Project category. The class–A office building received LEED Platinum certification based on a number of innovative features designed to improve efficiency and promote sustainability. Jackson Walker partner Kurt Nondorf represented Skanska USA in the successful development, which was sold after completion to Post Oak Building LLC.

The 2411 Washington project, developed by M–M Properties Inc., was named a finalist in the Multifamily category. The property features four levels of one– and two–bedroom homes located near top–notch dining, entertainment and employment venues.
