Jennifer Wertz Elected to the Texas Women Lawyers Association Board

Jennifer Wertz’s term will be one year. As a board member, she will work with Texas Women Lawyers to support and empower women lawyers.

Texas Women Lawyers serves as an umbrella organization for local women lawyers associations and statewide bar organizations for women lawyers, and hosts an annual CLE focusing on issues facing women in the legal profession, networking, and business development.

Jennifer Wertz is an associate in the bankruptcy section at Jackson Walker, where she represents financial institutions and other creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, including pursuing claims, negotiating treatment of claims, and addressing issues relevant to proposed restructuring plans. In addition to her experience representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, she also represents entities in complex corporate reorganization. In addition to her experience representing clients in multiple industries, Jennifer Wertz has extensive experience in telecommunication-related bankruptcy matters, where she recently represented a Liquidating Trustee in over 100 adversary proceedings. Jennifer Wertz earned her B.A. degree from The University of Texas. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University Law School.
