Lawdragon Lists Six Jackson Walker Attorneys Among Leading Energy Lawyers of 2023

March 22, 2023 | Attorney News

Jackson Walker is pleased to announce the selection of the following six partners to “The 2023 Lawdragon 500 Leading Energy Lawyers” list:

Launched in 2005, Lawdragon is a legal media company that features news, editorial features, and a variety of guides to the nation’s top legal professionals who lead in a particular practice area or industry and who have handled significant matters within the past year.

In its announcement, Lawdragon noted: “Nothing can touch Texas in this category. Far from a Lone Star state, it brings us 170 of the stellar lawyers recognized here. And, as those who follow firm rankings will note, this guide reflects the astounding battle still afoot for prized energy lawyers. They are among a vast array of talent that is representative of rich reservoirs that will keep the energy sector strong for decades to come.”

Selection to this list of the top energy attorneys in the U.S. is limited to those who have been in practice for at least 10 years and is based on the publication’s individual research, submissions from firms and companies, and vetting with experienced lawyers in their respective areas. For identifying the leading U.S. energy lawyers, Lawdragon looked at seasoned attorneys in the areas of oil and gas, electricity, mining, nuclear power, and renewable resources (water, wind, and solar).

Lawdragon added that, “The substance of these lawyers’ practices ranges from energy regulation to corporate transactions, including M&A and finance; from litigation dockets predominantly focused on oil and gas or other energy matters, to infrastructure development supporting the global power grid. The common denominator is these lawyers and their firms are the go-to for energy companies and financiers in a range of critical matters.”
