“I am honored to be recognized by the National Diversity Council and humbled to be among recipients who are committed to service to others,” said Mary Emma upon hearing she had been named.
NWC, one of the National Diversity Council’s Women’s Initiatives, considers several criteria in creating this definitive list of female executives, influencers, and achievers, including: being an inspiring role model and active mentor to women within the industry, being a top leader in her profession and organization, holding a proven track record of achievements in her area of expertise, contributing to business development, demonstrating a high level of integrity and ethical behavior, and having an established commitment to corporate citizenship.
“The 2016 Top 15 Business Women of Dallas highlights the most extraordinary female leaders in the city,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair of the National Diversity Council. “We are honored to recognize such distinguished women dedicated to continuous success in their fields of expertise.”
The award ceremony was held at the 2016 Dallas Women’s Conference. This year’s theme was “Transformational Leadership: From Vision to Impact.” After attending the award ceremony, Mary Emma noted, “In looking at the reasons for the successes of these women, many point to mentorship they received from men and women in their workplace. These women in turn are serving as mentors and an inspiration to future leaders, making their pathway easier.”
