Monica Blacker Speaks on Unusual Valuation Issues in Bankruptcy

Ms. Blacker co-presented a paper titled, “When the Shoe Doesn’t Fit: Unusual Valuation Issues,” that used three case studies to explain why non-traditional debtor entity evaluation methods were used in favor of more traditional methods.

Ms. Blacker has extensive experience assisting clients in recovering their money and collateral when borrowers default or file for bankruptcy. She also regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors and debtors in restructurings. She takes a collaborative approach to her practice with the goal of obtaining the highest possible recovery for her clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner. She received her B.B.A., cum laude, from James Madison University and her J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
