Emilio Nicolas Elected to Austin Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts Board

Jackson Walker attorney Emilio Nicolas was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors for Austin Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (AVLA).

AVLA is an organization that provides low-income artists and nonprofit arts organizations access to volunteer lawyers in the Central Texas area.

Emilio represents a variety of individuals and businesses in the entertainment, media and technology industries. His practice includes advising clients on the management, protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights, and representing clients in their entertainment, media and intellectual property transactional and litigation matters. Emilio received his B.S. degree in business administration from Trinity University, his M.S. degree in media management from Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the Justinian Honorary Law Society and the Syracuse University College of Law Student Senate. He was also an executive editor of Syracuse Science & Technology Law Reporter.
