Pat Sharkey Speaks on Commercial Real Estate Leasing

Jackson Walker partner Pat Sharkey will speak at the 25th Annual Anniversary Spring CLE Symposia hosted by the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section (RPTE) on May 2, 2014, in Chicago.

Mr. Sharkey will speak on a panel addressing the problems and pitfalls most often encountered in commercial real estate leasing. This is Mr. Sharkey’s fifth time as a panelist RPTE’s Spring Symposia. He is also a former Chair of the RPTE’s Industrial Leasing Committee, Office Leasing Committee and the Leasing Group.

Mr. Sharkey has over 35 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney representing sophisticated clients in a diverse and dynamic blend of real estate transactions. Client engagements include the representation of landlords and tenants in office, industrial and retail leasing. His experience also encompasses specialty leases, including hospital leases, ground leases for medical office buildings, ground leases for automobile dealerships, and manufactured housing leases (Eagle Ford Shale employee housing). In addition, Mr. Sharkey has extensive experience in acquisitions and dispositions of office buildings, industrial centers, healthcare properties and undeveloped land, condominium conversions and development of healthcare campuses. He is dedicated to providing his clients with superlative service and results-oriented legal representation, acting as a guide through the often intricate maze of legal and business issues his clients face. Mr. Sharkey received his B.A. degree from Columbia University and his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University.
