Jackson Walker represented Bitdeer Technologies Group in its acquisition of approximately 200 acres of greenfield land in Milam County, Texas, adjacent to Bitdeer’s existing Rockdale facility.
Bitdeer, a technology company specializing in blockchain and high-performance computing, plans to leverage the newly acquired site to support the development of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing data center infrastructure, alongside its existing operations in Milam County. The site is located within 70 miles of Austin and benefits from proximity to established transmission and substation infrastructure. With this acquisition, Bitdeer secures long-term site control as it advances planning, financing, and development for AI/HPC infrastructure at the Milam County location.
Following the acquisition, Bitdeer owns and/or operates approximately 255 acres in Milam County. The company’s sites in the county currently feature approximately 563 megawatts of interconnected grid capacity, with existing plans expected to scale to 742 megawatts, along with access to a dedicated water supply.
