Jackson Walker LLP is proud to announce that Partner Timothy C. Taylor will be the recipient of the W. Neal Kocurek Special Achievement Award at the 2024 Austin Business Journal Commercial Real Estate Awards. The distinguished accolade recognizes individuals who have had a lasting impact on the real estate sector and the Austin region as a whole. The award is named in honor of Neal Kocurek, one of Austin’s most revered civic leaders and former president and CEO of St. David’s HealthCare, as a testament to individuals who have also left a lasting mark on the community.
Tim’s recognition at this event honors his contributions to the Austin community, which includes his leadership with the Real Estate Council of Austin, which now spans three decades (including serving as Chair in 2003 and decades on the board of directors). Tim’s leadership includes serving on the board of the Health Alliance of Austin Musicians since 2008 (and as chairman of HAAM from 2010-2012), serving on the board of and as general counsel for the Greater Austin Economic Development Corporation (Opportunity Austin) from 2003-2015, and on the board of trustees of The Headliners Club for most of the last 27 years, including serving as President in 2004. Tim is also a member of the boards of The University of Texas Foundation, the Central Texas Public Safety Commission, and the Austin Council on Foreign Affairs.
The annual Commercial Real Estate Award attracts hundreds of local developers, brokers, architects, and other contractors. The award ceremony, scheduled for the evening of May 22 at the Four Seasons Hotel, will showcase achievements across various categories, including best new office building, best industrial site, and best retail rehab, among others.

He is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Commercial Real Estate Law and Residential Real Estate Law.
