Jackson Walker is pleased to announce the arrival of Jeffrey H. Frost as a partner in the Healthcare practice in Austin. Jeff draws on more than 20 years of experience as in-house counsel to advise clients on a wide range of healthcare regulatory matters, hospital operations, and medical staff issues.
Jeff began his law practice in Houston and relocated to California in 2003, where he since served as in-house counsel to Sutter Health, an integrated health network with 24 acute care hospitals and more than 200 clinics across Northern California.
“We are thrilled Jeff is joining Jackson Walker, and we’re excited to welcome him back to Texas,” said Virginia Alverson Mimmack, who chairs the Firm’s Healthcare practice. “Jeff’s broad experience as a healthcare regulatory attorney is an excellent complement to our team. His years serving as in-house counsel at a large hospital system and his expertise in hospital operations and medical staff issues will be a great resource for our clients.”

Jeff will advise healthcare clients on legal and regulatory matters including complex commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, employment issues, physician litigation, and access to electronic health records. His experience includes advising medical staffs, medical groups, and hospitals on a full range of credentialing, privileging, peer review, and quality assurance topics, as well as assisting hospital administration with governmental investigations, fraud and abuse claims, agency complaints, and medical staff hearings.
Jeff earned his B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
