Biography
Brandon von Kriegelstein is an attorney in Jackson Walker’s Healthcare group in Dallas. He advises a broad range of clients, including hospital systems, pharmaceutical companies, health plans, individual healthcare providers, and other industry stakeholders on their regulatory, operational, and compliance needs.
Brandon helps clients navigate the evolving healthcare regulatory landscape and provides guidance on issues involving the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), data privacy and security, data breach and incident response, artificial intelligence, provider licensing, corporate and non-profit governance, and credentialing and peer review.
His experience includes drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including physician employment, business associate, vendor, and data use agreements, as well as advising on data governance, secondary use, disclosure, and storage requirements. He also represents clients in internal and government investigations and assists with the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Brandon spent a decade as a licensed healthcare provider. He leverages his prior experience as a healthcare provider to give actionable counsel to clients in the healthcare space.
