Biography
Madison Huerta is an attorney in the environmental, legislative, and regulatory group of Jackson Walker’s Austin office. Her practice centers on representing electric, water, and sewer utilities in complex matters before Texas regulatory agencies. She has experience advising local governments and water districts on permitting, infrastructure, and other regulatory issues.
Before joining Jackson Walker, Madison served as a legislative director to two senior members of the Texas House of Representatives and later as general counsel to a Texas state senator and vice chair of the Senate Business and Commerce Committee. She also practiced at a Texas‑based environmental law firm, where she focused on water supply matters, with an emphasis on groundwater, and represented clients on local government and natural resources issues as a registered lobbyist before the Texas Legislature.
