Jackson Walker is pleased to announce that Dallas partner David Schlottman has been elected Chair of the State Bar of Texas Labor and Employment Law Section.

David will serve a one-year term leading the Section, a voluntary organization within the State Bar of Texas that supports attorneys who practice in, or have an interest in, labor and employment law. His election follows his prior service as Vice Chair of the Section.

As Chair, David will help advance the Section’s mission to promote and enhance the practice of law for labor and employment practitioners throughout Texas. The Section supports its members through continuing legal education, member resources, professional programming, and opportunities for engagement across the Texas legal community.

The Labor and Employment Law Section consists of approximately 3,000 licensed attorneys across Texas. Its members represent a wide range of clients, including employers, employees, and labor organizations in both the private and public sectors.

Meet David

David Schlottman handles complex cases involving employees, the workplace, and related business disputes. He has wide-ranging experience with wage-and-hour issues, employee competition, theft of trade secrets, contract claims, compensation disputes, employment discrimination and retaliation, and union-related disputes. David is the Chair of the State Bar of Texas Labor and Employment Law Section and the Immediate Past Chair of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association. He has been recognized as a “Best Lawyer Under 40” by D Magazine since 2023, named an up-and-coming Labor & Employment attorney in Texas by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, and included among Lawdragon’s 500 Leading U.S. Corporate Employment Lawyers.
