Where do you work and what is the nature of your responsibilities?
I am an Assistant County Attorney in the affirmative litigation division at the Harris County Attorney’s Office. The goal of the newly elected County Attorney is to expand this group; I am excited and honored to be part of that transformation!

Our group focuses on high impact matters in a variety of areas, including consumer protection, nuisance, environmental, fraud, and contractual matters. We also investigate potential claims and regulatory enforcement against businesses and individuals. Our goal is advance and protect, through litigation (including amicus briefs), the well-being, health and safety of Harris County residents. As a part of my new role, I am also working to develop new partnerships between our office and the legal community.

What do you appreciate the most about the time you spent at JW?
It goes without saying that JW provides excellent legal training. But, what sets it apart are the people. I created so many amazing friendships while at JW and also benefited from amazing mentors and sponsors – like Tré Fischer, Bruce Ruzinsky, Chris Mugica, and Lonnie Schooler – who took the time to listen, provide feedback, and ultimately advocate on my behalf.

Do you have a favorite JW memory you would like to share?
Of course! To name a few over my 10+ years: attending so many fellow JW weddings and showers, kicking butt at trial with Kathy Silver, beer exchanges with Tré Fischer and John Edwards, countless coffee runs with Chevazz Brown, and Lindsey Moorhead being the first non-family member to meet Anderson.

Where do you see your career heading?
I hope to continue to serve the public for years to come at the HCAO. My new office is only a few blocks from JW, so when we can safely gather, y’all don’t be strangers!
