Jackson Walker associate Cale McDowell was among a handful of Austin lawyers profiled in an Austin Business Journal feature titled “Austin’s New Dealmakers And Litigators: Up-And-Coming Attorneys To Know.” As part of a special section on Austin’s legal industry, the ABJ highlighted six Austin attorneys “who have rock-star reputations within their firms, big-name clients on auto-dial, and they’re all relatively new to the local business scene,” the newspaper said.

In the article, Mr. McDowell discussed his business background, which includes a master’s degree in accounting, and how this has helped him to better serve his clients. The article also mentioned Mr. McDowell’s extensive involvement with his alma mater, The University of Texas, which has included serving on several boards and advisory councils.

Mr. McDowell emphasized that no matter how busy his schedule, his primary focus is always on being responsive and available to his clients.

“I think clients appreciate that I always answer my phone,” he said. “I’m careful about managing budgets and I’m committed to detail-oriented, excellent work. You’ve just got to get it right.”
