John Holden and Travis Wussow to Present at 14th Annual Energy Law Symposium

Jackson Walker partners John B. Holden, Jr. and Travis Wussow will be featured panelists at the 14th Annual Energy Law Symposium, presented by Texas A&M University School of Law, scheduled for February 13-14, 2025.

John will participate in a panel discussion titled “Hydrocarbons Not Dead Yet!” This session will be moderated by Harry Sullivan (Texas A&M School of Law). Fellow panelists include Andrew Melsheimer (Holland & Knight LLP) and Brett A. Miller (Troutman Pepper Locke LLP).

Travis will join the panel discussion on “Energy and Administrative Law After Loper Bright,” moderated by Dan Walters (Texas A&M School of Law). Fellow panelists include Caroline Cecot (George Washington University Law School), Monica Ehrman (SMU School of Law), and Jim Rossi (Vanderbilt Law School).

The program will delve into the challenges and opportunities associated with transitioning to a more sustainable energy sector amidst constantly changing political, economic, and social circumstances.

Meet Our Speakers

John B. Holden, Jr. has represented clients for over 40 years in all aspects of the ownership, exploration, production, transportation, processing, sale and marketing of oil and gas, and other natural resources. He is experienced in the formation and use of various entities, both public and private, and the financing of those entities, as well as the acquisition and development of hydrocarbons and related assets. Travis Wussow is a regulatory and governmental affairs lawyer with extensive experience solving complex regulatory and public policy problems.
