Jackson Walker partner Joel Heydenburk was recently voted President-Elect of the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth.
The Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth is a home-away-from-home that allows families to stay together and remain close to a child receiving life-saving medical care in the area hospitals. It opened in 1981 with 11 family bedrooms. Since then it has expanded to serve 58 families and sits a block away from Cook Children’s Medical Center and Harris Methodist Hospital.
“The Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth is an amazing place for families in medical crisis and I am honored to be involved in its leadership and mission,” Mr. Heydenburk said.
Mr. Heydenburk has previously served on the Board of Trustees and as Treasurer for the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth. He is also a former membership chair of Ronald’s Young Leaders, a precursor to the Red Shoe Society auxiliary organization. In his new role, Mr. Heydenburk will serve as President-Elect in 2015-2016, as President in 2017-2018, and as Chairman of the Board in 2019-2020.
In his legal practice, Mr. Heydenburk focuses on real estate transactions and operational issues in connection with commercial real estate. He regularly represents landlords in the preparation and negotiation of commercial office, retail, and industrial property leases in Texas and other states across the nation. Mr. Heydenburk received his B.B.A. from Texas Christian University and his M.B.A. and J.D., cum laude, from Texas Tech University.
