John Jackson and Sara Chelette Obtain Certified Information Privacy Manager Certification

John_JacksonJackson Walker partners John M. Jackson and Sara Hollan Chelette have both earned certification as Certified Information Privacy Managers (CIPM) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

In earning CIPM credentials, both attorneys demonstrated their proficiency in privacy program management, which encompasses establishing, maintaining and managing a privacy program across all stages of its lifecycle. This certification will enable John and Sara to provide elevated services to their data privacy and cybersecurity clients.

About John Jackson

For 20 years, John M. Jackson has represented a wide variety of clients in patent litigation and complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts throughout the country, and in the International Trade Commission. John also Co-Chairs Jackson Walker’s Cybersecurity Litigation Group and counsels clients concerning various data privacy issues.

Prior to entering private practice, John clerked for the Honorable Jane J. Boyle, who was then U.S. Magistrate Judge (and currently a District Judge) for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. John previously earned certification as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals. The CIPP credential gives privacy professionals the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of privacy laws and regulations and how to apply them.
