Bobby Chesney, Dean of the University of Texas School of Law, stated, “There are few things we care more about at Texas Law than great classroom instruction, so it is wonderful to see Jonathan recognized for his excellence as a teacher. That this award comes from the students themselves tells you the impact he has made. We are so grateful for his service, mentorship, and commitment to the success of these future lawyers.”

Jonathan stated, “My hope is that the efforts we, the faculty, make today in developing the next generation of lawyers and legal scholars affords them an opportunity one day to change the world for the better. Any part I have in their progress towards that goal is an honor and privilege.”
