David Dunlap, Mike Pearson, and Kirk Rasmussen Recognized in Who’s Who Legal Energy Report

Jackson Walker partners David Dunlap, Michael Pearson, and Kirk Rasmussen were selected for inclusion in Who’s Who Legal’s Energy report for 2024.

He is board certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Board of Legal Specialization – Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section.

Houston partner Michael Pearson was listed as a “Recommended” and a “Thought Leader” for Energy – Oil & Gas. Mike has practiced in oil, gas, and energy law since 1978, representing numerous Texas-based, national, and international energy companies and financial institutions in a broad range of transactional matters relating to the upstream, midstream, finance, and marketing sectors of the oil and gas industry. He chaired Jackson Walker’s Energy practice group for more than 30 years and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at The University of Texas School of Law.

Austin partner Kirk Rasmussen was listed as “Recommended” for Energy – Power/Electricity. Board certified in Administrative Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Kirk handles a broad range of regulatory proceedings including rulemakings and contested case actions. He also manages compliance counseling for significant power sector clients. Since 2018, Kirk has been recognized in the prestigious Chambers USA Guide for Energy: State Regulatory & Litigation (Electricity) in Texas.
