San Antonio associate Daniela Mondragón has been appointed as Diversity & Inclusion Vice-Director of the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division (YLD). Her term begins September 1, 2021, and continues until August 31, 2022.
In her position as Diversity & Inclusion Vice-Director, Daniela will help oversee all YLD diversity initiatives, ensure compliance and coordination with YLD’s Diversity Plan, and assist with the YLD Scholarship program and its alumni group.
Daniela Mondragón is an associate in the Trial & Appellate Litigation practice at Jackson Walker. Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Daniela served a two-year term as a judicial law clerk with the Honorable Judge Marvin Isgur, bankruptcy judge for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. While attending St. Mary’s University School of Law, Daniela was a legal intern for the Honorable Henry Bemporad of the Western District of Texas and served as Editor-in-Chief of the St. Mary’s Law Journal.
Daniela is from the Rio Grande Valley and speaks both Spanish and English fluently. Prior to attending law school, Daniela joined Teach for America and returned to the Valley for two years during which she taught First Grade Bilingual.
In 2021, Daniela was named to San Antonio Scene’s lists of “Rising Star Lawyers” and “San Antonio’s Outstanding Women in Law.”
