Monte James Instated as President of Baylor Law Alumni Association Executive Committee

Jackson Walker is pleased to congratulate Austin partner Monte F. James on his instatement as President of the Baylor Law Alumni Association Executive Committee, effective January 1, 2020. Prior to his selection as President, Monte served a three-year term as a member of the Executive Committee. Following the end of his term in January 2021, he will serve as former President for one year.

The Baylor Law Alumni Association plays an active role in sponsoring programs and events that benefit Baylor Law School and the community of Baylor Lawyers.

In addition to his role on the Executive Committee, Monte has served on the Steering Committee of the Austin Baylor Lawyer Network, which hosts local events geared towards fostering connections between Baylor Law alumni and friends.

In his practice, Monte represents several Fortune 500 companies in matters related to commercial litigation, healthcare litigation, negligence actions, bad faith claims, antitrust claims, False Claims Act or qui tam actions, reimbursement matters, trademark infringement litigation, and state and federal civil monetary penalty actions. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He received his B.B.A. and J.D. from Baylor University.
