Jackson Walker partner Emilio B. Nicolas and associate Chandler Stephens will speak at the Dallas Bar Association’s upcoming CLE at 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 24.

Their presentation, “An Introduction to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act: What IP Practitioners Need to Know,” will discuss how key considerations in the DMCA address impact copyright litigation in the digital age. Topics will include an overview of the DMCA’s history and policy; safe harbor provisions; causes of action for circumventing technological measures that control access to copyright-protected works; and causes of action for the falsification, removal, or alteration of copyright management information.
