Smith Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Institute in Houston on April 14, 2017. His presentation was titled “Quench My Thirst: Water Rights in the Context of Water Treatment Technologies.”

The Ernest E. Smith Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Institute is a leading course for attorneys, corporate lawyers, E&P operators, and landmen to learn about the latest developments in oil and gas. The Institute was presented by the University of Texas School of Law and the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. The event brought together a distinguished faculty of academics and legal professionals to share their expertise in specific areas related to oil and gas.

In addition to serving as a speaker, Pete was part of the Institute’s Planning Committee. His practice is focused on advising clients in all aspects of exploration, production, transportation, processing, sale and marketing of oil and gas and other natural resources. Having practiced law for nearly 40 years, he has a wealth of experience in this space.
