Jackson Walker represented Maverick Power, a leading Texas-based manufacturer of power distribution and infrastructure equipment, in its Purchase Agreement to be acquired by nVent Electric. The transaction has a total potential value of up to $2.3 billion, consisting of $1.75 billion in cash at closing plus up to an additional $550 million in performance-based earnout payments.
Maverick Power has experienced significant growth in recent years, employing approximately 900 people across Texas and Arizona and projecting approximately $700 million in revenue for 2026.
According to nVent, the acquisition further expands nVent’s capabilities in the rapidly growing data center and artificial intelligence infrastructure market by adding Maverick Power’s power-distribution solutions to nVent’s existing portfolio and the combination will enable customers to access a broader suite of power and cooling products designed to support the increasing demand for AI and data center infrastructure.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
