Jackson Walker’s Client Victory Named a ‘Top Texas Verdict’ in 2011

Jackson Walker’s May 16, 2011, trial win for plaintiff Dr. George Cravens made Texas Lawyer‘s “Top 25 Texas Verdicts” list.

The verdicts listed are based on the total dollar amount awarded to the winning client. The case, in which Dr. Cravens was represented by Albon O. Head, Jr., William R. Jenkins, Jr. and Sara Abbott McEown, resulted in a more than $10 million win for the client, and was listed as the 25th top Texas verdict in 2011. It also came in 3rd as the “Largest Contract” case.

About the trial: Jackson Walker secured a courtroom victory for prominent Fort Worth neurosurgeon George Cravens on May 16, when a Tarrant County jury found that Dr. Cravens had been defrauded by a Dallas development group in his bid to build a state-of-the-art specialty neurosurgical hospital in the heart of Fort Worth. At the conclusion of a five-week trial, the jury awarded Dr. Cravens more than $10 million.
