Jackson Walker represented Hydrosource Logistics, LLC, in the sale of Intrepid Ranch to EagleRock Land, LLC (“EagleRock”) for a total purchase price of $78.2 million. EagleRock funded the acquisition through a combination of cash on hand and borrowings under its existing revolving credit facility.
Intrepid Ranch is located in Lea County, New Mexico, and comprises approximately 50,000 surface acres adjacent to EagleRock’s existing New Mexico surface position, including approximately 22,000 fee acres.
The acreage includes several million barrels per year of currently producing commercial water rights, several million barrels of above-ground storage capacity, multiple saltwater disposal wells, active caliche pits, and permitted sand mines. The acquisition also materially expands EagleRock’s contiguous Delaware Basin position and supports opportunities to optimize water infrastructure, surface use agreements, and additional royalty development.
The Jackson Walker team was led by Danny Nappier, Reagan M. Marble, and Daniel Maldonado, with assistance from Justin Meyer, Nathan T. Smithson, and Graeme Hawkins.
