Josh Romero Elected President-Elect of the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin

Josh RomeroJackson Walker partner Joshua A. Romero was sworn in on Thursday, February 16 by Justice Gisela Triana as President-Elect of the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin (HBAA), a nonprofit professional organization for Hispanic American legal professionals in Central Texas. As a member of the 2023 Board of Directors, Josh’s goal for the term will be to increase membership and awareness of HBAA within the community.

Josh is a trial lawyer focused on complex commercial litigation and First Amendment litigation. He has successfully tried cases ranging from multimillion-dollar corporate disputes and consumer fraud cases to construction cases. He previously assisted his clients in obtaining the largest settlement in Texas and the fourth largest settlement in the United States, as featured in the National Law Journal. He is nationally ranked by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, named as one of the “500 Leading Litigators in America” by Lawdragon, and named among The Best Lawyers in America for Appellate Law, one of Austin’s Top Attorneys for Commercial Litigation, and a Texas Super Lawyer.

In addition to serving the HBAA, Josh is a member of the State Bar of Texas Court Rules Committee and the Board of Directors of Open Door Preschools. He also chairs Jackson Walker’s Paralegal Committee, which oversees the work of paralegals at the firm.
