Jackson Walker has signed a lease to occupy the Jefferson Bank building currently under construction along the 1900 block of Broadway between East Josephine and East Grayson streets. “We couldn’t have asked for a more compatible co-tenant and are excited for what the future holds,” said Paul E. McSween, III, Jefferson Bank President.

Julia W. Mann, managing partner of the Jackson Walker San Antonio office, commented, “This is a thrilling move for our office. We are continuing to grow just as the city is, and we look forward to being part of the emerging business district near the Pearl. This move will provide easy access for our clients and room for our expanding team.” Mann noted that the new space with its rectangular shape and floor to ceiling windows will allow the law firm to design a more efficient and inviting work space while maintaining dedicated individual offices. The local office of JLL, a leading worldwide professional services firm specializing in real estate and investment management, represented Jackson Walker in its property search.

“We are continuing to grow just as the city is, and we look forward to being part of the emerging business district near the Pearl.”

“Having two companies such as Jefferson Bank and Jackson Walker occupy the 1900 Broadway building is a testament to its location and the Pearl district,” said Plack Carr, managing principal with Milam Real Estate Capital, LLC, the fee developer for Jefferson Bank on the 1900 Broadway project.

Jackson Walker continues to advance the world of business, with more than 400 attorneys serving clients around the world from seven Texas-based offices. In 1991, the Firm opened its doors in San Antonio. Ten years later—on April 1, 2001—the Firm joined forces with the attorneys from Gresham, Davis, Gregory, Worthy and Moore, one of San Antonio’s oldest law firms. Now, the San Antonio office has grown to include more than 40 attorneys and just under 70 local employees. Jackson Walker is ranked as the third-largest law firm in the city.

“As the city of San Antonio increasingly gains national attention, we are very fortunate to be participating in its exciting growth and success, and our new home in San Antonio is right smack dab in the middle of a lot of that excitement.” said Wade Cooper, firm managing partner of Jackson Walker. “This great new space will help us to continue to attract the brightest legal talent in the city.”
