Jackson Walker partner Jackie C. Staple has been selected to participate in the Ladder Down leadership training program offered by the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC).

Jackie will be one of approximately 22 participants, comprised of women lawyers from a diverse range of practice areas and experience levels from across the country. The program is open to women lawyers in private practice, government, and in-house roles.

Ladder Down is a year-long program that provides direct training and career development through a combination of coaches, sponsors, and participants to empower women lawyers in leadership, business development, and mentoring. The program consists of monthly large group training sessions, periodic small group accountability sessions, four-month business development boot-camp, and interactive panel discussions.

Meet Jackie

Jackie C. Staple is a partner in the Labor & Employment section of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. She focuses on advising and counseling companies on employment law compliance and handling labor and employment transactional matters. Jackie has depth of experience drafting various employment, separation and release, and restrictive covenant agreements, as well as reviewing employee handbooks and policies and conducting due diligence of employment considerations in transactions. When litigation becomes inevitable, Jackie draws on her experience arbitrating and litigating the range of labor and employment claims, from wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation to wage and hour and restrictive covenant claims.
