Jackson Walker congratulates Dallas partner Peter K. Wahl on his election as Chair of the State Bar of Texas Environmental & Natural Resources Law Section.

The Environmental & Natural Resources Law Section (ENRLS) is comprised of Texas attorneys who practice or have an interest in environmental and natural resources law. ENRLS activities include sponsorship of the annual Texas Environmental Superconference and a Texas Climate Change Symposium, publication of the Texas Environmental Law Journal, and the award of paid summer internships with Texas environmental regulatory agencies and scholarships for top students in environmental and energy classes at Texas law schools. The ENRLS Council consists of six officers and nine executive committee members.

Pete handles a broad range of environmental, health, and safety matters. His regulatory work includes projects related to the remediation and redevelopment of contaminated property and environmental regulation of industrial operations. Pete is also regularly involved with transactional matters, including the acquisition and divestiture of steelmaking, electric generation, and oil and gas assets. He is also involved in resolving and managing liability and litigation for clients dealing with sites across the country that have been listed on state and federal Superfund lists or otherwise subject to liability. In recognition of his environmental law experience, Pete has been recognized by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, The Best Lawyers in America, and D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in Dallas.”
